President Rod MacAlpine says he’ll also be introducing Geoff Solomon as the new head of the Chamber.
Tonight’s guest speaker is the Director of Culture for Hamilton who’ll be talking about the importance of culture to strategic planning.
MacAlpine says Meaford’s new CAO is a huge proponent of including culture and tourism into the municipality’s long term plans for viability.
MacAlpine says his tenure over the past three years has been ‘interesting’ with many challenges.
He says just like every other municipal department — the Chamber of Commerce had to endure cutbacks but he says he’s pleased to announce they have secured enough funding this year to provide their services.
The AGM gets underway at 7 PM at Meaford Hall.
