A snow day for thousands of students across the region this morning.
For the most part, school buses were not running in Bruce and Grey Counties and more than two dozen schools were in fact closed.
Road closures, and poor driving conditions are to blame.
Police also say there are several vehicles stuck on roads — and advise motorists to — and advise them to stay in their vehicles until they are rescued by police.
Plows are out, cleaning out the more than a foot of snow that fell in some places overnight.
Police also remind motorist to stay off those roads posted as closed with barriers in place.
