Saugeen Shores Mayor Mike Smith will be on the road again at the upcoming Good Roads Conference.
Smith says he, along with councillors Thead Seaman and Fred Schildroth will be attending a number of workshops and listening to a number of speakers.
Smith says he’s looking forward to getting some clarification on connecting links work which affects both the municipality and the county of Bruce.
Smith hopes the minister of transport will clarify the future of the program as it pertains to Saugeen Shores.
He says the municipality wants to complete the Goderich Street widening to the 10th concession.
Smith says in the county, they’re hoping for support for the work on Bruce County Road 3 from Mildmay to Highway 9.
Mayor Smith says several Bruce County roads employees will be receiving long service awards as well.
The Good Roads Conference goes from Sunday to Wednesday.
