Colts Win 4th Straight, Clinch Playoff Spot

Keane gets game-winner as Barrie hands Niagara their 9th loss in a row.

The Barrie Colts are in the OHL playoffs.
They clinched a berth with a 3-1 win over the Niagara Ice Dogs on Saturday night.
Joey Keane (1 goal, 1 assist) scored the winner for the Colts (34-19-2-1) at the 9:53 mark of the third period.
Keane one-timed a pass from Dmitry Sokolov (1 goal, 2 assists) and put the puck past Colton Incze (40 saves).
Johnny Corneil opened the scoring for the Ice Dogs (26-21-5-3) in the first period for a 1-0 lead.
Aaron Luchuk (1 goal, 1 assist) answered 23 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1.
Leo Lazarev stopped 37 shots in the win.
Niagara -- who once overtook Barrie for the Central division lead -- have now lost 9 straight (7 in regulation).
Neither teams scored on the power play, Barrie on 5 opportunities, Niagara with 4.
The Colts have won 4 in a row and are in Kingston Monday afternoon for a Family Day game against the Frontenacs.
