Power Play Gives Golden Hawks Win Over Terriers
Caledon score 3 with man advantage, one more short-handed.
Special teams did in the Subaru of Orillia Terriers.
Caledon scored three times on the power play and one more short-handed as the Golden Hawks went on to beat the Terriers 6-2 on Saturday night.
The Golden Hawks opened with a 3-0 first period lead on goals by Mathieu Young (while short-handed), Tyler Whitten, and Lucas Amaroso (on the power play).
With Caledon up 5-0 in the third, Orillia answered with a pair of goals from Luke Charlebois and Ben Schryer to cut the lead down to 5-2.
Young finished with two goals while Andrew Woods had 3 assists for the Golden Hawks (15-13-0-2).
Michael Kazcor stopped 20 shots in the win while Derek Haourt made 40 saves for the Terriers (3-26-0-0).
Caledon finished 3-for-11 with the man advantage, Orillia were 0-for-5.
The next game for the Terriers is next Wednesday night when they host the Penetang Kings at Rotary Place.
