Terriers Drop Close One to Cougars
Skalosky with goal and 2 assists for Orillia who still remain winless at home.
The Subaru of Orillia Terriers battled hard against the Schomberg Cougars.
But the Terriers came up on the short end of a 6-5 decision on Saturday, their ninth straight loss at home.
It was a great start for Orillia as Luke Charibois' goal gave the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
The game was tied 1-1 when Schomberg scored 3 goals in a span of 58 seconds in the 2nd period to take a 4-1 lead.
The Terriers replied with 2 goal on the power play, one from newcomer Dallas Wilson on a 2-man advantage and one from Will Skalosky 5-on-4.
It was 6-4 Cougars in the 3rd when Kyle Goodman scored for the Terriers with 1:32 remaining to cut the deficit to one.
Thomas Foulds had 2 goals and an assist while Matthew Lolli made 15 saves for the Cougars (6-8-0-0).
Skalosky had 3 points while Dan Haourt stopped 23 shots for the Terriers (2-11-0-0).
Power plays saw Orillia go 3-for-11, Schomberg were 2-for-8.
The Terriers next game is Sunday night when they travel to Caledon to take on the Golden Hawks.
