Durzi named Huron Tractor Player of the Week
The Owen Sound Attack has named defenseman Sean Durzi the team's Huron Tractor Supply Player of the Week for the 4th week of the Ontario Hockey League season.
The Mississauga native scored twice and added a quarter of assists in the team's three games, including the overtime winner on Sunday, Oct. 15 when the Attack took down the London Knights 4-3.
In his 3rd year in the league, Durzi is set for a breakout campaign and his offensive statistics through nine games reflects that.
After being held off the scoresheet in the Attack's season opener against the Flint Firebirds, Durzi has exploded for seventeen (4 goals, 13 assists) points over an eight game point streak, making him the Ontario Hockey League's top scoring blueliner so far this year and 2nd overall in the points race.
Only Durzi's teammate, Nick Suzuki, has more points to date.
But it isn't just the points that is making Durzi's play stand out.
A +12 rating thus far, Durzi has proven his mettle in the defensive zone as well, and has become a big part of the Attack's penalty kill quartet.
