Kings Get Buzzed by Oakville

McLaughlin had 4 goals for Orillia in the loss.


The Orillia Experience Nissan Kings battled hard but came up a goal short.
 
Chris McLaughlin had 4 goals for the Kings in a losing effort falling 9-8 to the Oakville Buzz Saturday night.
 
Despite being close from start to finish including a dominating second period, the Kings never led once in the game.
 
Oakville scored two goals 8 seconds apart to start the third period for a 9-6 lead.
 
Orillia rallied with two goals of their own but could not complete the comeback.
 
Nate Braniff (2 goals, 2 assists), Marley Angus (3 goals, 1 assist), and Kyle Kennery (1 goal, 3 assists) each had 4 points for the Buzz (4-4-0).
 
Tyler Goodchild had a goal and 2 assists while Dallin Blunt, Michael Montgomery, and Mitchell Pellarin rounded out the scoring for the Kings (3-5-0).
 
Orillia went 0-for-2 on the power play, Oakville were 0-for-5.
 
The next game for the Kings is this Wednesday night when they travel to Ajax to take on the West Durham Ironheads.
