Swimmers from the Owen Sound Aquatic Club competed at the Ontario Long Course Swim Championships in Brantford last weekend.
Henry Pink finished 4th in the boys 16 year old 50 m free (25.48), breaking his own club record.
In the boys 17 & over category, James Boulter finished 6th in the 100 m butterfly (1:01.12) and 7th in the 100 m backstroke (1:03.45).
Ricky Millns placed 6th in the boys 15 year old 200 m breaststroke (2:42.03).
The relay team of James Boulter, Henry Pink, Ricky Millns and Mark Sgro had 3 top 8 finishes. The team finished 5th in the 200 m medley relay (1:55.73) and 7th in the 400 m free relay (3:57.41), setting team records in both events. They were 8th in the 200 m free relay.
Pink and Boulter also competed at the Ontario Spring AA Meet, along with Mark Sgro and Katie Millns. Boulter struck double gold at the AA meet placing first in the 200 m fly (2:19.25) and 100 back (1:03.26).
Pink was also golden in the 100 free with a time of 56.47 s.
In the boys 14 year old group Sgro placed 2nd in the 50 free (27.21),
5th in the 100 m butterfly (1:08.62), 6th in the 100 m free (1:00.70) and 7th in the 200 m IM.
Katie Millns placed 3rd in the 100 back (1:13.36), and 7th in the 50 free (30.93) and 100 free (1:04.94).
