The Owen Sound Attack has named rookie forward Aidan Dudas the team’s Huron Tractor Player of the Week.
Dudas, a native of Parry Sound, scored twice and added a pair of assists in the Attack’s three games, bringing his rookie year totals to seven goals and six assists in 39 games.
Kicking off the week in Barrie, Dudas scored Owen Sound’s first goal of the game and then assisted on Petrus Palmu’s overtime winner as the team extended their franchise record winning streak to 15 games.
He was held off the scoresheet in the team’s shootout loss to the London Knights, but again came up big for the Bayshore Boys on Sunday, scoring a goal of his own and then assisting on Santino Centorame’s game winner just past the midway point of the 3rd period.
Also considered for the award was Cordell James, who scored twice and added three assists in the Attack’s week, as well as Santino Centorame who had a goal and five assists on the week.
Dudas and the Attack are back in action on Friday, Feb. 3 when they head to London to take on the Knights in a 7:30pm puck drop. They will then return home to play host to the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday, Feb. 4 in the team’s Heart Beats and Hockey Sticks fundraising game in support of the Owen Sound Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
Tickets for that game can be purchased at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.
