First Attack Win for Vella

Emanuel Vella made 17 saves for his first victory with the Owen Sound Attack.

The Owen Sound Attack nipped Kingston 2-1 in Ontario Hockey League Action Saturday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

Bayshore Broadcasting Sports Director Fred Wallace says it was a game with a couple of firsts.

Chase Campbell got his first goal as a member of the Attack. He was acquired this weekend in a deal with Ottawa, and scored the game winner for Owen Sound.

It was also a first for Emanuel Vella in goal for Owen Sound, he made 17 saves for his first victory with the Attack, he'll take over for Michael McNiven who's off to the World Junior Team Canada selection camp.

The Attack host the Barrie Colts at 2 Sunday afternoon, Barrie is coming off a 3-1 victory over Flint yesterday.

Thursday, the Attack are at Barrie to face the Colts in a rematch.
