A major drug seizure in Amaranth resulting in charges against three people who are staff members of an Orangeville junior 'A' hockey team.
Dufferin OPP went to a home on 8th Line of Amaranth yesterday around noon, to enforce a court ordered eviction.
When they went inside, they found 65-thousand dollars in marijuana plants, processed material, and production equipment.
31 year old Coleman Schneider, the head coach of the Orangeville Ice Crushers, the goalie coach -- 29 year old Ryan Zeng -- and 27 year old Rada Culciar, the team's Marketing and PR Director, were arrested.
The trio has been charged with production of marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Zeng was released and will appear in court at a later date, but Schneider and Culciar remain in custody and will appear before a judge today.
In light of current problems involving two owner-staff members of the Orangeville Ice Crushers, GMHL President and GMHL Commissioner have directed these staff members to step away from team activities until further notice. Effective immediately, Ice Crushers shareholder Jeff Oliver will take over the operation of the team as General Manager and Head Coach. The league is working with the Ice Crushers so that the players can enjoy and continue their hockey for the rest of the season
