Terriers Get First Win of Season

Miller scores in OT for Orillia in victory over Huntsville.


The Davenport Subaru Orillia Terriers have their first win of the Provincial Junior C season.
 
Corey Miller's goal 1:31 into overtime helped the Terriers to a 5-4 victory over the Huntsville Otters Saturday night.
 
With the scored tied at 3-3 in the third period, Ben Garrett gave the Terriers a 4-3 lead with his second goal of the game.
 
But Curtis Ballentyne replied for the Otters 34 seconds later with his 2nd of the game to tie it up at 4-4.
 
Marty Lawlor also had a pair of goals for the Terriers.
 
Jack Armstrong and Sye Ellard had the other Otter goals.
 
Brendan Dale made 32 saves in net for the Terriers (1-2-0) while Mitchell Jones stopped 24 shots for the Otters (1-1-0).
 
Power plays saw Orillia go 0-for-1, Huntsville 2-for-7.
 
The next game for the Terriers is next Friday night when they travel to Midland to take on the Flyers.
