Allenford Astros 8 Keady Jets 4

Taylor McConnell hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 runs for the Astros

McConnell was selected as the Playoff MVP

Mitchell Pringle also homered for the Astros

JD Elder had 2 home runs and 3 rbi for the Jets.

The Chesley team of Katie Schuknecht, Sandy Weatherall and Johanna Hoita won the Creighton Taylor Memorial Trophy with 3 wins and 27 points.

The Veronica Jackson rink from Saugeen Shores finished 2nd while Mount Forest was 3rd

Hockey Notes


The Owen Sound Attack Training Camp continues today with 4 on-ice sessions at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre

Of note, there will be scrimmages at 10:10 am and at 3 pm today

The Red-White Game is set for tomorrow night at 6 pm

Sunday afternoon at 2 pm, the Attack host Barrie in pre-season play.

The Attack are also at home Monday afternoon at 2 pm when they host Oshawa.




The Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group has announced there will be NO Late registration fee this year.

However, OSMHG has implemented a cutoff date for registration which is Monday.

Minor Hockey needs to know the number of youngsters who will be participating this year in order to assist with their entry into the WOAA Local League.



The Wiarton Rock is having a Training/Team Tryout at the 'Julie McArthur Rec Centre' in Owen Sound on Tuesday from 3-5pm and Friday, September 9th from 2-4pm.

The first Shallow Lake Crushers Senior Hockey team tryout will be at the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Center in Owen Sound on Thursday September 8th before moving to Shallow Lake on September 12th.
