Horse Racing Kicks Off In Clinton

Clinton | by Fadi Didi

Long weekend will see a start to fundraising series at Clinton Raceway.

The horse racing season in Clinton is kicking off with a fundraiser for Central Huron Secondary School.

The Clinton Raceway is hosting a fundraiser Sunday, in support of "WE Day," which empowers young people to make a difference locally and globally.

Raceway Marketing and Promotions Director Jessica Carnochan says the school's fundraiser will include a bake sale, car wash, 50/50 draw, barbecue, and silent auction.

Attendees will also have a chance to win a $500 garden package, simply for showing up and filling out a ballot.

Along with the festivities, Carnochan says the raceway will be showing off it's new digital tote board, complete with detailed results about the day's races.

The fundraiser kicks off at 1:30 PM on Sunday.
