A major milestone for Andrew Mangiapane.
The Colts forward collected a hat trick -- his 3rd of the season and 2nd in his last four games -- in Barrie's 6-3 victory over the Mississauga Steelheads on Saturday night.
His second goal of the game at the 7:12 mark of the 2nd period was the 100th in his OHL career.
Mississauga were the first to get on the board on a goal by Ryan McLeod 1:59 into the opening period for a 1-0 lead.
Barrie would strike back with a pair of goals from Mangiapane and Anthony Stefano 22 seconds apart towards the end of the 1st period to take a 2-1 lead.
With the score 5-2 for the Colts, Dylan Sadowy scored 30 seconds into the 3rd period giving him at least a goal in 9 straight games.
Julius Nattinen and Kevin Labanc each collected 3 assists -- all were on Mangiapane's goal.
Roy Radke had the other Colts (31-16-0-2) goal while Mackenzie Blackwood made 25 saves.
Nathan Bastian and Everett Clark rounded out the scoring for the Steelheads (25-24-1-3) while Jack Flinn (19) and Joesph Murdaca (15) combined to make 34 saves.
Both teams went 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
