Flyers Rally to Tie Terriers

Corona scores 2 for Flyers, Terriers now 6 back of Penetang.


A missed opportunity for the Jim Wilson Orillia Terriers.
 
Francesco Corona scored his second goal of the game for the Midland Flyers with 1:16 left in the third period to help secure a 5-5 tie on Saturday.
 
The Terriers are now six points back of the Penetang Kings for the 8th and final playoff spot.
 
Orillia got off to a 2-0 lead on goals by Taylor Fischer and Jason Binnie.
 
The Terriers would go up 3-1 before Corey DeRose and Curtis Anderson scored for the Flyers to tie the game up at 3-3.
 
Matthew White would put the Terriers ahead 4-3 in the 3rd on a penalty shot -- his second game of the game.
 
Gordie Weiss turned in a 55-save performance for the Terriers (9-23-2).
 
Jake Norton responded with 33 saves for the Flyers (17-15-2) who are 3 back of Huntsville for 2nd place.
