Colts Beat Attack to Stay Unbeaten

Chiodo scores winner in shootout for Barrie in 4-3 victory over Owen Sound.

The Barrie Colts remain unbeaten in the OHL pre-season.

Lucas Chiodo scored the winner in the shootout to give the Colts a 4-3 victory over the Owen Sound Attack on Monday night.
Cordell James put Barrie on the board with his first period goal for a 1-0 lead.
Brett Hargrave replied for the Attack in the second period to tie the game up at 1-1.
The Colts were up 2-1 in the third period when Petrus Palmu and Nick Suzuki scored goals 46 seconds apart to give Owen Sound a 3-2 lead.
Andrew Mangiapane tied it up for the Colts with 42 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
Brandon Prophet had the other goal for Barrie.
Colts outshot the Attack 37-34.
Same two teams face off Wednesday night in Owen Sound.

In other OHL exhibition action, the Mississauga Steelheads doubled Guelph 4-2 and Oshawa edged Peterborough 2-1.

The regular season commences on September 24th.
