Attack Search Down To 5

Owen Sound | by Fred Wallace

Owen Sound Attack search for new OHL Head Coach has been short-listed.

Owen Sound Attack General Manager Dale DeGray continues to pursue a Head Coach to replace Greg Ireland who resigned from the Ontario Hockey League club last Saturday morning.

Speaking to Bayshore Broadcasting News Friday, DeGray stated the morning hours today had been " uneventful ", but conceded he had a list of five potential coaches on a short list.

Of those five candidates, DeGray felt three were solid candidates, with the remaining two needing a little more exploration on his part.

DeGray also confirmed there was one out of province candidate among the five, with the other four coaches being Ontario based.

It's believed Owen Sound will have a new coach in place next week, no later than Wednesday or Thursday when DeGray departs for a Hockey Canada camp at Calgary, followed by the 25th annual Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Breclav and Bratislava.
