Windy, Wet Night in Hanover

Hanover | by Fred Wallace

All ten races are held in gusty winds and rain at Hanover Raceway.

All 10 races on " Hockeyville Night " went off Saturday night at Hanover Raceway.

The card was hampered by wet weather from start to finish as all 10 races had to contend with perpetual precipitation.

Furthermore, there was a strong wind from the East which hit the drivers from the paddock turn down the backstretch in every race which also had an impact on the times which were above the 2 minute mark in every case.

In the 10th race, " Preppy Art " continued his win streak. Driver Terry Fritz drove " Preppy Art " to its 4th consecutive victory, scoring the win in 2 & 2 & 3.

" Preppy Art " has won 5 of 6 starts on the season.

Driver Stuart Sowerby had 2 dominant wins on the night.

Sowerby won  the 4th with " West Bay Grey ", almost uncontested, then he followed with another victory in the 6th winning with " Crossroads " in 2-01 & 3, again winning by a wide margin

Jay Harris had another productive night. In the 8th race on the night he completed the drivers hat trick winning with " Bakardi Arti ".

Harris also won in the 3rd with " Arnies Kickj Start " and in the 7th with" Lucky Dunk "

Racing resumes Saturday July 4th which also marks the start of the Country 93 Survivor Series which runs through the month at Hanover Raceway.
