Green Gaels Hammer Kings

Fernandes with 4 goals and 1 assist for Clarington.

The Orillia Kings are feeling a little blue thanks to the Green Gaels.
Clarington made short work of Orillia as Jeff Fernandes had 4 goals and 1 assist for the Green Gaels in a 21-5 romp of the Kings on Sunday in Junior B lacrosse.
Clarington opened up a 7-0 lead before the end of the first period.
Orillia fought back with 3 straight goals to cut the deficit to 7-3.
The Green Gaels (7-0) pulled away scoring 8 more times in the second period.
3 other players -- Adam Perroni, Tyler Stinson, and Ethan Schott -- each had 2 goals and 3 assists.
Trent Boyd and Matthew Campbell each scored twice while Bradden Hickey collected 3 assists for the Kings (1-12).
The Kings are on the road the next five games starting this Wednesday night in Newmarket against the Saints.
