Titans Blank Aces, Lead Series

Rama | by Ken Hashizume

Haugom-Mossin with lone goal; Taylor stops 56 shots in losing cause.

Rama put up a valiant effort in their GMHL playoff game against Temiskaming.

But the battle-weary Aces came up a bit short on Friday.

Lots of shots and plenty of chances for both teams but the Titans prevailed in the end shutting out the Aces 1-0.

The game was scoreless until the 6:45 mark of the third period when Markus Haugom-Mossin knocked in a rebound past Garrett Taylor.

Taylor would finish with 56 saves for the Aces.

On the other end, Craig Wood made 45 saves for the Titans.

Rama finished 0-for-2 on the power play while Temiskaming finished 0-for-3.

The Aces were playing their 4th game in as many nights.

The Titans take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-5 and can complete the sweep in Game 3 Saturday night in Temiskaming.
