Greyhounds, Spitfires Win

Two of four OHL games scheduled for Wednesday were played.

Two of the four games scheduled in the Ontario Hockey League on Wednesday were played. 

The Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds edged the Sudbury Wolves 6-5

Gabe Guertler had a hat trick for Sault Ste. Marie while newly acquired Justin Bailey scored twice.

Overage Jean Dupuy had a goal and an assist to round out the scoring for the Sault -- who also acquired Nick Ritchie and Connor Bolland in a transaction with Peterborough last night.

Danny Desrochers for the Wolves who have lost 8 of their last 10 games.

Ivan Kashtanov, Michael Pezzetta and Jonathan Duchesne also scored for Sudbury

The Windsor Spitfires also rallied to beat the Belleville Bulls 6-5 in overtime.

Jamie Lewis scored the overtime winner for the Spitfires who trailed 5-2 late in the second period.

Aaron Luchuk, Markus Soberg, Daniil Verity plus newcomers Lucas Venuto and Anthony Stefano also scored for Windsor

Brett Welychka, Jordan Subban and Niki Petti all had a goal and four points for Belleville,

Stephen Harper and Alex Yuill also scored for Belleville.

The games between the London Knights and Kitchener Rangers and the Peterborough Petes and Owen Sound Attack were postponed due to inclement weather and travel conditions.

The Attack will host Sarnia on Friday at 7:30 PM at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre
