Midget Girls

Owen Sound Ice Hawks Playtex Sport Midget A girls hockey team had a pair of wins this weekend.. On Saturday, they defeated the Orangeville Tigers 4 - 3: Brie Becker 2 goals, Amy Hepburn and Janine Vanderschott 1 each. On Sunday, they beat the Brampton Canadettes 3 - 2 with Amy Hepburn scoring 2 and Alexis Martin 1. Both games were at home at the JMRRC.

The Township of Chatsworth Kuhl Machine Shop Rebels lost in the semi-finals of the Cody Hodgson Fall Claasic in Minden on Sunday, October 26. The Rebels opened the tournament with a 4-2 loss against the Norwood Hornets.  Scoring for the Rebels were Kai Hiemstra (assisted by Jordan Baumber) and Joel Delleman (assisted by Luke Miller).  In the second game, six different Rebels scored to defeat the Duoro Dukes.  Connor McCauley (Jacob Roney), Jordan Baumber (Delleman and Hiemstra), Josh Batterman (Hiemstra), Hiemstra (Baumber), Luke Miller (J Batterman), Luke Miller (J Batterman and Devin Ackroyd) and Nathan Schwartz (unassisted). All contributed to the 6-2 victory.  In the third game of the day, the Ennismore Eagles scored an empty net goal to win 3-1 over the Rebels.  The Rebels earned enough points to advance to the semi-finals where they once again faced the Eagles.  Scoring the lone Rebel marker was Baumber (Hiemstra and Delleman).  In the semi-final game, the Eagles scored three goals and while the Rebels fought back to a 3-2 score, they were unable to put any more in the net.  The Eagles were able to score two more times before the game was over.  Scoring both goals for the Rebels was Jordan Baumber (assists to Joel Delleman, Devin Ackroyd, and Brendan Batterman).

October 24
Owen Sound Boot and Blade Midget AE played a home game vs. Wasaga Beach Stars. Wasaga won 3-0.
October 26
Owen Sound Boot and Blade Midget AE played Midland Centennials in Midland. Owen Sound won 4-2.

Bantam Girls

CHATSWORTH - In their season opener, the Township of Chatsworth "Country Charm Mennonite Furniture" Bantam 'C' Rebel Girls narrowly defeated the Mount Forest Rams 2 - 1 on Sunday afternoon.
Kirsten Sutter and Sammy DeJong scored for the REBELS, with assists going to Jessica Moran, Brittany Batterman and Renee Farrow.


The Township of Chatsworth Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rep Rebels were
defeated in semi-final action at the Georgian Shores fall Classic.
The Rebels opened the tourney Friday night with a 4-0 victory over Saugeen
Shores Storm. Branson Thalen, Mitchell McComb, Owen Torrie and Cody
Cunningham scored for the Rebels. Ty Mountain earned the shutout.
Saturday afternoon saw the Rebels narrowly defeating the South Huron
Sabres 2-1. Rebel goal scorers were Thalen and Torrie. Jacob Ryan replied
for the Sabres. The Rebels completed their round robin play with a 5-1 win
over the Langton Leafs. Torrie scored 3 to lead the attack and McComb and
Thalen rounded out the scoring. Derek Toth spoiled Mountain's shutout
The Rebels fell in semi-final action to the SouthWest Bullets 1-0. A first
period goal by Myles Fraser was the games only goal.


Peewee Girls

KEADY - The Township of Chatsworth "Royal Canadian Legion Branch 464" PeeWee 'C' Girls had a convincing 5 - 1 victory over South Bruce on Saturday.  Reese Wilkins lead the REBELS scoring with 2, and Abby Vokes, Jamie Gilchrist and Tristin Brown added singles.

Minor Peewe

The owen sound garb and gear minor peewee jr attack lost to Burlington eagles at the jmrrc on Friday.  
Kieran Moore,  Tyler Moore and Austin Waite scored for OS in 8-3 game.
On Sunday they met oakville rangers away.  Austin Barnard and Kieran Moore scored for OS in 3-2 loss

Atom Girls

The Township of Chatsworth "Desboro Lion's Club" Atom C Girls defeated Bruce Penninsula on Sat. 10-0. Goals were  scored by; Natalie Madill -2, Tara Meikle, Emma MacDonnell -2, Summer Roney -2, and Kloey Jex -2. Grace Vokes did a super job in net and got her first shut out of the season!  Assists were earned by the following players; Tara Meikle(2), Abby Watson(2), Kloey Jex, Natalie Madill, Emma MacDonnell(2) and Claire Vokes.


The Owen Sound Leeder and Associates Junior Attack major atoms fell 4-2 to the Milton Winterhawks in Tri County Minor Hockey League action at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre on Sunday.
Landen Humphries scored both Owen Sound goals.

Atom Rep Garb and Gear Source For Sports Shallow Lake Lakers took home the Championship in the Shallow Lake Lakers Weekend Tournament.

Wiarton - Game #1 of the Austin Holley tournament was an exciting affair between the Shallow Lake Novice LL #1 and Bruce Pen Novice #1. After being down 2-0 Shallow Lake stormed back on goals by Ashton Patterson, Owen Craven (assisted by Ashton Patterson) and Dani Strong resulting in a 3-3 tie. Brian Hummel played a strong game in net and stopped a last minute breakaway to preserve the tie. The next tournament game is Saturday October 25th at 2:15pm.


Game #2 - In a tight checking game, Callum McLaurin scored the only goal for Shallow Lake assisted by Ben Standish to tie Arran Elderslie 1-1. Sean Nichols played a strong game in net with Dani Strong winning player of the game.


Silver Medal Game - In a back and forth battle between two determined teams, Shallow Lake Novice LL #1 (sponsored by Harold Sutherland Construction), edged Bruce Peninsula #2 to capture a silver medal in the Austin Holley Memorial Tournament in Wiarton.
Ashton Patterson netted 2 goals while Dani Strong scored one. Hunter Bryan added an assist with Brian Hummel making a strong showing in net.

TCDMHA Novice LL Rebels ran out of time in their game against the Saugeen Shores Storm #1 team in WOAA action Sunday night. The Storm came away with a 4-2 win! Goal scorers for the Storm were Jack Kruiderink with 2, and Blake Lamont and Chris Hoffman with singles. Austin Rasmussen scored both goals for the Rebels.
