Holody Inducted into Guelph Hall

Former Guelph and Owen Sound Platers GM now in Guelph Sports Hall of Fame

Former Owen Sound Plater General Manager Rob Holody was inducted into the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame last night.

Holody was the General Manager of the Guelph Platers when they won the 1986 Memorial Cup and served in that capacity when the franchise shifted to Owen Sound in 1989

The son of Platers majority owner Joe Holody, Rob Holody was the Platers GM until 1994 when he returned to Guelph to become more immersed in the family electroplating business.

Holody was followed as General Manager by Ray McKelvie whoheld the position until the team was sold in the Spring of 2000.
