Storm Visit Attack Tonight

Owen Sound | by Fred Wallace

Pre-Game thoughts from Attack Coach Greg Ireland as first place Storm visit.

The Owen Sound Attack will host the Guelph Storm on Monday night in an Ontario Hockey League game at the JD McArthur Arena.

This will be the third attempt by the two teams to play the game.

The initial contest was snowed out on January 25th

A rescheduled game set for January 29th was also cancelled due to the weather.

Guelph is leading the Ontario Hockey League's overall standings with 93 points, four more than the London Knights.

Both the Storm and the Knights have been terrific of late, with Guelph winning 16 of their last 18 games, but unable to fully shake London.

In an irony, the Storm are coming off a 6-3 loss at home to Saginaw on Sunday.

The win by Saginaw allows the Spirit to pull four points up on the Attack for 6th in the Western Conference.

The Attack will try and pull closer to Saginaw tonight and halt a successful stretch for the Storm in Owen Sound.

Guelph has won their last five trips to Owen Sound.

Owen Sound's last victory over Guelph at the Bayshore was early last year in a game decided by a shootout.

The last time the Attack beat Guelph in regulation time in Owen Sound was December 10th, 2011.

Game time tonight for the Storm and Attack is 7 PM
