Crushers Battle Durham in Playoffs

Shallow Lake | by Fred Wallace

The Shallow Lake Crushers will begin the play-off push tonight.

One of the WOAA Senior Hockey playoff series in the North Division begins on Saturday night at Shallow Lake

The Crushers host the Durham Thundercats at 8:30 PM in Game 1 of their best of 7 quarterfinal series.

Shallow Lake finished 4th in the regular season which continues an upward progression through the years by the Crushers.

Durham finished 5th in the regular season and everyone expects this series to be a good one, maybe the best series in the opening round.

Shallow Lake General Manager Scott Seibert admits finishing 4th in the regular season was an accomplishment for the Crushers, but the regular season is now completed, meaning focus now shifts to the playoffs.

In order to succeed, a team needs to be deep and balanced and Seibert believes the Crushers are built for a solid playoff run.
