OHL Priority Selection for Attack

Interview with Attack General Manager Dale DeGray

The Owen Sound Attack started the 2013 OHL Priority Selection by picking a forward.

The Attack were expected to go for a defenceman, but instead picked up Ethan Szypula, a Centreman from London as the 17th pick of the draft on Saturday. 

The first pick overall was Travis Konecny from Mount Brydges, who was selected by Ottawa.

Meanwhile,Garrett McFadden of Kincardine was picked 12th in the first round by Guelph. He is a defenceman in the Grey-Bruce league.

In round 2, the Owen Sound Attack picked Tyler MacArthur of Collingwood, a defenceman.

Carson Brookshaw, a left wing player from the London area was picked in round 3 by the Attack.

Also in the third round, Owen Sound grabbed Ryan Heeps, who is from Oshawa and plays at center, and Connor Walters of Welland, a defenceman as their final pick in round 3.

Through the rest of the afternoon Owen Sound picked up goaltender Michael McNiven, Centre Lucas Clark and Brent Gates.
