Hornets Host Hawks

Alliston | by Ken Hashizume

Walkerton will try to keep their season alive with a win in Alliston.

The Schmaltz Cup Junior C playoffs could be over for the Walkerton Hawks on Saturday night.

The Alliston Hornets are a win away from advancing to the next round.

The Hornets entertain the Hawks tonight in Game 6 of the all-Ontario quarterfinal series.

Alliston is coming off a 4-3 win in Walkerton on Thursday night -- marking the first time that a road team has won in this series.

The Hornets offense is led by forward Mike Campeau who has 5 goals and 6 assists.

Drew Davidson has 6 goals and 3 assist for the Western league champs.

Four of the five games in the series were decided by 2 goals or less.

A win by the Georgian Mid-Ontario champs would mark the sixth straight year that the Hornets eliminated the Hawks in the quarterfinal round.

Game time at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre is 5 PM.
