The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks are moving on to semi-final play in WOAA North Division senior hockey.
The Hawks hammered the Mapleton-Minto 81's, 10-2 to sweep the best of seven quarter final.
The Hawks move on to the semis against a team that has yet to be named.
Seven different players scored the goals last night with Tyler Kennedy, Darryl McKinnon and Bryan Kazarian notching two each.
Singles went to Brendon Haefling , Andy Mitchell, Brent MacDermid and player of the game Shawn Walker, who also picked up three assists.
Walker says it's tough to get up for the blow-out games but you have to focus and continue to play.
Three of the four games in the series were blow-outs.
Winterhawks coach Peter Roedger says, there might not have been a lot of competition but you still have to win the games and the series and the mission was accomplished.
Roedger says no matter who the opposition is in the next series, he knows it will be a tough series and his squad needs to rev up for it.
The first game in the division semi-final will be played Friday, Feb. 22nd at the Plex.
Gametime is 8:30 PM.
