Erie Snaps Colts Win Streak

Barrie | by Ken Hashizume

The Otters got two goals from Alliston's Connor Crisp in a 6-4 victory.

It is not the kind of Christmas surprise the Barrie Colts had in mind.

Alliston's Connor Crisp had two goals in leading the Erie Otters to a 6-4 victory Saturday night at the Barrie Molson Centre and have now won four of their last five.

Erie never trailed in the game opening up with a 3-1 lead after the first period and a 5-3 lead after two.

Connor Brown also scored twice while Stephen Harper and Jake Evans got the other Erie goals.

The Colts got two goals from Zach Hall, and singles from Josh McDonald and Steven Beyers.

The loss snaps Barrie's win streak at 3.

Alex Fortinos allowed 5 goals on 27 shots before being pulled in favour of Mathias Neiderberger at the start of the third period.

The Colts outshot the Otters 43-36 in the game.

The next game for the Colts is Monday night when they host the Sudbury Wolves.
