Whalers, Hounds and Bulls Win

Ontario Hockey League Scores, Standings and Weekend Schedule

In the OHL on Thursday night -- the Plymouth Whalers needed overtime to beat Erie 4-3.

The Soo dumped Sudbury 5-4 in a shootout and Belleville spanked Niagara 6-2.

The Owen Sound Attack will play 3 games in 3 nights on the road this weekend -- starting tomorrow at Sudbury.

Whalers 4 Otters 2 in overtime

Rickard Rakell scored the tying goal late in the third period, and then scored again at 3:35 of overtime for the Whalers

Zach Bratina and Ripley native Garrett Meurs also scored for Plymouth.

J.P. Labardo scored twice for the Otters and Connor McDavid had the other Erie goal.

 


Greyhounds 5 Wolves 4 in a shootout

Former Owen Sound Attack forward Andrew Fritsch scored in the shootout as the Greyhounds came from behind to get the 2 points

Colin Miller scored in the last minute of regulation for Sault Ste Marie to send the game to overtime

David Broll, Brandon Alderson and Landon Schiller also scored in the victory

Charlie Dodero, Jacob Harris, Frank Corrado and Mathew Campagna scored for the Wolves

 

 

Bulls 6 IceDogs 2

Jordan Subban had three assists for the Bulls

Chad Heffernan, with his first OHL goal, Joseph Cramarossa, Scott Simmonds, Brady Austin, Michael Curtis and Austen Brassard all scored for Belleville.

Brett Ritchie and Mitchell Theoret scored for Niagara

In the last minute, a bizarre incident took place when former Bull Mack Lemmon was dumped into the Belleville bench and engaged a number of former teammates in a confrontation that will likely see several Bulls suspended.
