MIDGET C GIRLS SPLIT THE WEEKEND

The TCDMHA Country Charm Mennonite Furniture Midget C Rebel Girls kickedoff their season with a game in Markdale Saturday against the ShootingStars.

Despite a short bench, the Rebels came out strong, but fell one goal short, losing 2-1.
Nicki Brancati got the lone goal for the Rebels.

The Rebels bounced back on home ice Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Walkerton.
Torie Lisk, Jessica Bryans and Maddy Moore were the scorers for the Rebels.
Carly Morris was the only one able to put one past netminder Amandah Gill.

In the Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League at Elmvale, the Owen Sound Boot & Blade Midget AE team beat Elmvale AE  3-1.

Geordan Stephens, Logan Armstrong and Dan Lemon scored for Owen Sound. 
Justin McElwain scored for Elmvale.

Minor Midget

The Owen Sound Attack Aveda Mane Street Hair Salon Minor Midgets played 2 Tri-County Hockey  games this weekend.

On Friday at the JMRRC they tied Caledon 4-4.

Steve  Langedoen scored a hat trick and Mitch Wand added a single.

On Saturday they lost 9-0 on the road in Oakville.

 


Bantam Girls

The Gaviller and Co, TCDHMA Bantam Girls C triumphed over West/Grey B Division Bantam Girls in their Home Opener @ Chatsworth Sunday afternoon 3-2.,  with much credit going to impressive heads up and fast hands by TCDMHA Goal Tender Ceaira Hemistra. 

Home side winger Emily Moore was first to get a mark on the board half way through the 1st period unassisted.

West/Grey was quick to come back with a goal to tie it up by Cassidy Howie .

That wouldn't last long with quick skating and stick handling by Left Winger Katie Brancati, assisted by Morgan Williamson .

West/Grey managed to squeak another one by our goalie,  scored by Emma Eckenswilles. 

Morgan Williamson was again in the right place at the right time to put the puck in the net to take the lead,  assisted  by Rachel Aitcheson.

No score in the 3rd period.

Next home games for these ladies are Friday night the 26th in Exhibition action and League competion Sunday the 28th  at 4:40 pm against Blyth/Brussels.

 


Bantam

Friday night Owen Sound Gaviller & Company Attack hosted Georgetown at the Rec center & won 4-0

Kallen Macumber earned the shutout.

Matt Giefert, Foxton Mezenberg, Jon Frook, and Robert Beaumont scored.

Saturday they travelled to Guelph & won 4-0 again

Ethan Woods earned the shutout in a penalty-filled game.

Matt Giefert scored two goals in a five second span to break a scoreless tie in the third. Jesse Schmid and Nathaniel Lowden added singles.

Sunday they travelled to Brampton and lost 4-3

Jon Frook had the hat trick as the Attack suffered their first loss of the season after a 13 win run to start the season, Guelph 4-0 and Brampton 4-3 loss.

The Owen Sound Hyundai Attack visited  Meaford on Friday where they defeated the opposition by a score of 4-3. 

Owen Sound started strong in the first with 2 goals; one by Cameron Wayland assisted by Jordan Smith and one goal by Carter Glynn. 

Meaford answered with a few more goals in the second keeping their team alive. 
Owen Sound came back in the third, as Jordan Smith scored two more with an assist by Reid Locking leading the team to victory.

 Netminder Jack Webster collected a win in his first showing between the pipes this season.

The Township of Chatsworth "Great Lakes Frame Company" Rebels tied Kincardine 2-2 Sunday at the Davidson Centre. 

Austin McComb started the scoring for the Rebels and the game on an assist from Josh Currie and Hunter Schultz. 

Kincardine's Wilson Shipp tied the game minutes later with 2:25 left in the first. 
The Rebels went ahead with their second goal in the second period scored by Josh Currie on an assist from Schultz. 

Kincardine tied the game with 6:24 left in the third on a goal scored by Nolan MacKinnon

Kieran Moore scored twice as the Owen Sound Brian Pickett Ride Centre Junior Attack lost 4-2 to Creemore Saturday in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League action


The Owen Sound Brian Pickett Ride Centre Junior Attack lost 4-0 to Flesherton in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League play on Sunday.

 


The Township of Chatsworth "Homelife Bayside Realty" REBELS came up short in their home opener against the Arran Elderslie REP Ice Dogs in Keady on Saturday, losing 8 - 1.

The TCDMHA's lone goal was scored in the 2nd period by Carson Torrie, with assists from Austin Waite and Clayton Johnson. 

Jason Rudolph-MacLeod was kept busy in the Rebel's net, and made many excellent saves.

 

The TCDMHA  Barry’s Contruction Rebels  played their season opener against the Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs at home on Saturday. 

The Rebels opened the scoring early with 2 goals from Jack  Murray  and 1 from Curtis Wade  in the first period. 

Wade added another goal, assisted by Liam Harrison, in the second along with an additional goal from Clayton Kreuger. 

Hunter Courtney snuck another one through for the Rebels in the third and the Ice Dogs answered with one as well. 

A 6-1  ending for the Rebels

 


 
Novice

Jacob Ostrom earned the shutout as the Owen Sound Canadian Tire Junior Attack downed Midland 7-0 in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League play on Sunday.

Tyson Downs scored twice, while Sam Barrett, Carter Moran, Landen Humphries, Noah Hemstock and Curtis Arnold added singles in the win.

On Saturday, the Junior Attack defeated Oro 4-3.

Owen Prior, Elliot Thomson, Eric Barnard and Curtis Arnold scored.

 

TCDMHA Rebels Desboro Tire lost 9 - 0 to Saugeen Shores 1 in their
first home game on Saturday October 20th.


The Township of Chatsworth Horton's Concrete Finishing team skated to a 0-0 tie with the Teeswater Otters.

Conner Waite had the shutout for Chatsworth while Nolan Schiestel registered the shutout for Teeswater.
