Attack Trade For Experience

Owen Sound | by Jon Meyer

Owen Sound acquires overage defenseman Nathan Chiarlitti from Sarnia for three picks.

The Owen Sound Attack have acquired overage defenseman Nathan Chiarlitti from the Sarnia Sting today.

Sarnia gets a 2nd Round Pick in  2015, a 5th Round Pick in 2013 and a 10th Round Pick in 2014.

Chiarlitti was Sarnia's captian last OHL season -- finishing with four goals, 11 assists and a plus 5 rating.

The 6 foot 1, 186 pound veteran has played four OHL seasons -- all with the Sarnia Sting -- and amassed 14 goals, 42 assists for 56 points in 245 regular season games.

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray says "Nathan brings a wealth of experience and ability to the ice surface and character to their dressing room."

Chiarlitti is the second Sarnia Sting player to be acquired by the Attack this off season as Dale DeGray previously swung a deal to land goaltender Brandon Hope.
The acquisition of Nathan currently gives the Attack four potential overage players for the 2012/2013 season.

This means the Attack will have to make another roster move before Christmas since OHL teams can only have three overage players.

Daniel Zweep, Brendan Childerley and Keevin Cutting are the other three Attack overagers still on their roster.
