The Pittsburgh Penguins clinched a playoff spot, by dumping Nashville 5-1.

Vancouver beat Dallas 2-1, as the Canucks were without Daniel Sedin, who is sidelined with a head injury.

Calgary is winless in 4, blowing a 2-nothing lead, before dropping a 3-2 shootout to Minnesota.

Edmonton also lost in a shootout, 3-2 at Tampa Bay.

Stayner who've split their first 2 games against Six Nations, play tomorrow at 4:30 in Stayner.

In Atom D play, Creemore and Woodville have also split the first 2 games of their final. Game 3 is tomorrow in Woodville.

Game 2 of the Junior C quarterfinals goes tonight in Alliston. The series is tied between the Hornets and the Walkerton Hawks at a game a piece.

Canada will play a tiebreaker at the women's world curling championship, after Heather Nedohin's rink lost twice, on the final day of the preliminary round. Syracuse, Ohio State, Louisville and Florida are all 1 win away from advancing to the Final Four, at the NCAA basketball championship.  Syracuse got by Wisconsin 64-63, and will face Ohio State for the East Regional final. The Buckeyes defeated state rival Cincinnati, 81-66. Louisville upset top-seed Michigan State 57-44, and goes on to play Florida in the West final. The Gators topped Marquette 68-58.

and... The Jays beat the Phillies, 2-0 in grapefruit league play. Toronto plays Tampa Bay tonight.
