Smith Player of the Week

The Owen Sound Attack named Gemel Smith as their Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week

In 4 games last week, Smith scored once and had 4 assists for Owen Sound

The Attack clinched a playoff spot over the weekend and could finish 4th, 5th or 6th in the Western Conference depending on the results of games this week.

Attack Playoff tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 9 am at the Box Office at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre

Friday, the Attack play their final road game of the regular season when they travel to Guelph to go against the Storm

Jr C Playoffs

The Walkerton Hawks won the Western Junior C Championship yesterday, sweeping the Mitchell Hawks in 4 straight games

Walkerton now advances to the OHA Junior C Quarterfinals against the Georgian MidOntario Junior C Champion Alliston Hornets

The Hornets will host Game 1 of the best of 7, but no dates have been established for the series.

WOAA Senior Playoffs

The WOAA Senior Hockey Playoffs have reached the divisional final staged

In the North, the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks will meet the Elora Rocks for the Championship

In the South Division, Tavistock will go against Tillsonburg

No dates have been released for either series.

CIS Track and Field Championships

at Winnipeg, MB

Matt West of Mildmay, a student at the University of Windsor was 8th in the High Jump.

Josh Archer from Port Elgin who attends the University of Western Ontario was 6th in the Weight Throw with a personal best of 16.81 metres.
