Dunlops beat Tundras

Orillia loses 6-1 to Whitby in Game 2 of Allan Cup playoff series.

A disastrous second period for the Orillia Tundras in Game 2 of their Allan Cup Hockey playoff series.

Jason Robinson opened the scoring for Orillia for minutes into the first period to give the Tundras a 1-0 lead.

But the Dunlops went on to score 6 unanswered goals to beat the Tundras 6-1 at Rotary Place on Friday night.

The score was tied at 1 after one period but Whitby broke it wide open scoring 4 times, 2 of them by Forward Adam Van Dam.

Peter MacKeller also had two goals for the Dunlops.

Dave Digironimo got the start in net for the Tundras and made 25 saves in a losing effort.

Game 3 of this best of seven set goes Saturday in Whitby.

Face off is at 6:30 PM at the Iroquois Park Sports Complex.
