Bluewater Boys Hockey Semifinals

Sacred Heart Crusaders at OSCVI Falcons     1:30 pm @ Harry Lumley-Bayshore

St Mary's Mustangs at Kincardine Knights      2pm @ Davidson Centre

The winners today advance to the Bluewater Championship Final in Boys Hockey


The Bluewater Athletic Association Girls Hockey Championship Game will be Thursday in Owen Sound.

The West Hill Lady Raiders will face the Kincardine Knights for the Championship.

Game time Thursday at the Coliseum in Owen Sound is 1:30 pm



Bigras PotW

The Owen Sound Attack defenseman Chris Bigras is the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week

Bigras, an underage from Woodland Beach, had an impressive performance over the weekend as the Attack won at Plymouth and at Windsor before losing Sunday afternoon at Saginaw.

In the 3 road games, Bigras had 2 points in each outing.

The Attack will be at home Wednesday night for a pivotal Western Conference match-up against the Sarnia Sting.

Owen Sound currently trails the Sting by one point for 4th place in the Western Conference.

Game time tomorrow night for the Attack & Sting is 7 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre



Midwestern Junior Hockey

Listowel Cyclones at Kitchener Dutchmen

Friday, the Owen Sound Greys are at Listowel to open a home & home with the Cyclones.

The rematch for the Greys & Cyclones is Sunday afternoon at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore.



Georgian MidOntario Junior C Semifinal

Stayner Siskins at Midland Flyers

The Siskins lead the best of 7; 3 games to none

Game time tonight is 8:30 at the North Simcoe Sports & Recreation Centre

If the Flyers win tonight to prolong the series, Game 5 would be Thursday night back in Stayner

The other semifinal between the Alliston Hornets and Penetanguishene Kings is tied at 1 win apiece

Game 3 in the series is tomorrow night at Alliston


WOAA Dates

The dates for a pair of the WOAA Senior Hockey Playoff series have been set.

In the North Semifinal, the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks will host the Durham Thundercats in Game 1 of their best of 7 on Friday night at 8:30 at the Plex in Port Elgin.

Meanwhile in the South semifinal, the Clinton Radars will host the Tillsonburg Thunder Friday night in Game 1 of their best of 7.

Still to be confirmed are the Elora-Shelburne series in the North and the Tavistock-Petrolia series in the South



CWOSSA Curling Championship

at Cambridge

In the boys division, the Saugeen District Royals lost 8-6 to Brantford and the St. Mary's Mustangs lost to Guelph CVI.

In the Girls division, the Grey Highlands Lions are competing


CWOSSA Girls Volleyball

The CWOSSA AAA Senior Girls Volleyball Qualifier is today

The West Hill Raiders Senior lady Raiders are competing

If the Lady Raiders win today, they will advance to the CWOSSA " AAA " Senior Girls Championship on Thursday at Orangeville



Eastern Canadian Biathlon Championships

at Brookvale Prince Edward Island 

In the Individual Races,  Isaac Shouldice of Shallow Lake placed 7th and his brother, David, 8th in their respective categories. 
In the 10 km Pursuit Races, Isaac was 5th while David had a 7th place finish.
The North American Championships are this weekend in Val Cartier, Quebec
