Attack Lose to Spits, Prep for Bulls

Owen Sound | by Bayshore News Staff

Owen Sound fans not impressed with outcome of Attack's game against Windsor.

Owen Sound has now dropped six straight in the Ontario Hockey League thanks to a 6-5 loss in overtime to Windsor.

The Attack blew a 3-0 lead after ten minutes while Zack MacQueen scored twice for the Spitfires including the game winning goal in extra time.

Cameron Brace had a two goal game for the Attack in the losing cause but it was Owen Sound's Captain, Mike Halmo who made much of the noise on the ice.

He had a four point night, was denied a goal and was handed the penalty in OT which lead to Windsor's win.

There is much argument still today about last night's game thanks to the outcome of two reviewed plays by goal judges.

One gave Windsor's Nick Czinder a goal, while the other denied Halmo's goal, saying he knocked it in with a high stick.

Attack fans and even coaching staff are livid with reviews and don't agree.

Nonetheless, Owen Sound will try to move on and snap their current losing skid tonight when they host Belleville.

The Bulls are coming off a 6-3 win over Kitchener.
