2012 FIS World Cup Ski Cross

at Blue Mountain

The Ladies & Men's Finals go this afternoon ( competition begins at noon )

Five Canadians are in the final field of 32 in the Men's Final while Marielle Thompson is the most prominent Canadian advancing to the Women's Final.

On Monday, Blue Mountain will host the FIS World Cup Snowboard Cross event.



Ontario Hockey League

Windsor Spitfires at Owen Sound Attack   

The Attack are 5th in the Western Conference but have lost their last 5 games

Windsor is in a three way tie with Saginaw and Guelph, sitting just 3 points back of Owen Sound

Game time tonight is 7:30 at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre

Saturday, the Attack are at home again when they host the Belleville Bulls at the Lumley-Bayshore

Belleville is at Kitchener tonight




Midwestern Junior Hockey League

Owen Sound Greys at Stratford Cullitons   

Game time tonight is 7:30

Stratford is second in the Midwest with 70 points, 52 more points than the Greys

Owen Sound is 4 points back of Kitchener for the final playoff spot in the Conference.

Sunday night, the Greys are at Kitchener for a key matchup against the Dutchmen.

School Curling

The Ontario Curling Association Gore Mutual Schoolgirl and Schoolboy Regional Playdowns are being staged Saturday & Sunday at Owen Sound Grey Granite

In the Girls Division, West Hill, Saugeen District & Grey Highlands-are among the schools competing

In the Boys Division, Saugeen District, Chesley & Grey Highlands have rinks entered

Play commences at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, continues all day Saturday and Sunday and winds up with the "B" Side final at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Two winners from the boys and two from the girls will proceed to the Provincial Championship.
