The Sports page this morning is brought to you by the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League

The Attack are at home tonight against Windsor and again tomorrow night against Belleville

Game time both nights is 7:30 at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore



FIS Ski Cross World Cup

at Blue Mountain

The qualifiers were staged yesterday.

Canadians Dave Duncan, Chris Del Bosco & Brady Leman were among the top Canadians to advance to the men's final

Canadian Marielle Thompson was the second-fastest qualifier in women's racing and will advance to the finals today

Training for the finals will be at 11 am this morning followed by the finals at noon.



World Cup Downhill

at Germany

Marie Marchand-Arvier of France had the fastest time in the first training run yesterday

Owen Sound skier Larisa Yurkiw was 43rd.

Training continues today with World Cup races Saturday & Sunday



Western Junior C Playoffs

Hanover Barons 4 Mount Forest Patriots 2

The Barons lead the best of 7; 1-0

Game 2 in the series is tonight at 8:30 at the P & H Centre in Hanover

All 3 Western Junior C Quarterfinals are in action tonight with game 2 in Hanover plus the opener of the other series at Goderich and at Kincardine.

Stayner Siskins 4 Fergus Devils 2

Cody Brown scored twice for the Siskins & Tyler Happeney had the game winning goal for Stayner who lead the best of 7; 1-0


Penetanguishene Kings 5 Schomberg Cougars 3

Brad Payne scored twice for the Kings including the game winner

Penetang overcame a 3-1 deficit to win the opener of the best of 7

Brantford Golden Eagles 4 Cambridge Winterhawks 2

One time Owen Sound Attack forward Brett Appio scored twice for the Golden Eagles

Tonight, the Owen Sound Greys are at Stratford to face the Cullitons

The Greys are 4 points back of the final playoff spot in the Midwest

The Owen Sound Attack host the Windsor Spitfires tonight and the Belleville Bulls tomorrow night

The Attack are 5th in the Western Conference, 4 points back of Sarnia for 4th place & 3 points up on several teams including Windsor who are tied for 6th

Game time tonight & tomorow night is 7:30 at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre
