Greys Lose to Dutchmen

Owen Sound | by Manny Paiva

The Owen Sound Greys find themselves at the bottom of the barrel again.

The Owen Sound Greys are back in last place in the Midwestern Conference after losing 7-5 to the Kitchener Dutchmen.

The Greys scored the first goal of last night's game, just 97 seconds into the first period at the Lumley Bayshore.

But then Owen Sound allowed 6 goals in 9 minutes and fell behind 6-1 after the first period and could never recover.

The win moves Kitchener two points ahead of Owen Sound in the Midwestern Conference of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Trevor Hughson, Brandon Lamothe, Brooks Nelthorpe, Mitch Wright and Jordan Pettit scored for the Greys while Kris Dobinson had 3 assists.

Owen Sound is back in action on Sunday when they host Listowel at 2:30 PM at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
