I-B-L playoff action continues tonight in Brantford where the Red Sox host the Toronto Maple Leafs for Game 2. Toronto held off a Brantford rally on Sunday to win the first game 9-8. It was a tough day for Canadians at the Rogers Cup. Vancouver's Rebecca Marino fell to Ekaterina Makarova of Russia in straight sets in Toronto. On the men's side in Montreal, Erik Chvojka lost in front of his hometown crowd to the Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov in three sets.
World number one Novak Djokovic is among the tennis stars in action on the men's side of the Rogers Cup. Djokovic takes on Russia's Nikolay Davydenko while Britain's Andy Murray plays South Africa's Kevin Anderson.
Canada's Aleksandra Wozniak takes the court in Toronto today at the Rogers Cup. Wozniak plays Israel's Shahar Peer two days after winning the Odlum Brown Van Open. She's joined by Canadians Stephanie Dubois and Eugenie Bouchard in first-round action. Elsewhere, Serena Williams and second-seed Kim Clijsters make their debuts.
