Megan Chapman of Meaford shot an 81 on the opening round & is 9 over going to Round 2

Tara Merchants 12 Owen Sound Selects 4

Bill Monkman got the win for Tara

Matt Murphy had a homer and scored 3 times for the Merchants

L.T. Jacques had 2 hits & scored twice for the Selects

 

 

Wiarton Red Devils 9 Port Elgin Blue Devils 8

Travis Jones scored the winning run for the Red Devils who scored two runs in the bottom of the 7th.

Drew Davidson scored 3 runs in the victory.

The Red Devils meet the Wiarton Nationals at Bluewater Park tomorrow night

In a losing cause, both Ryan Whitney & Bryan Maas both had 2 hits )

 

The O.A.S.A. Junior Fastball Championship Tournament is this weekend in Owen Sound.

Both the Brick Brothers Volkswagen Selects & the Bluewater Selects will compete at Duncan McLellan Park.

Play starts Friday afternoon at 3 pm and runs through the weekend.

Owen Sound improves to 3 & 4 on the season and moves into a tie for 7th with Alliston

Owen Sound is off until July 10th.

Tomorrow night in the Premier Division, Owen Sound Grey Motors United will host the Alliston Arsenal at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex

CHL Im port Draft

The annual CHL Import Draft begins this morning

The London Knights acquired the first overall pick in a deal with the Barrie Colts earlier this week.

Barring a trade today, the Owen Sound Attack are scheduled to pick at 6 pm,, 55th overall.
