OLA Junior B Lacrosse

Guelph Regals at Owen Sound Bluewater ProTeam NorthStars   

The NorthStars are 2 & 11 on the year after losing at Elora last night.

Game time for the NorthStars & Guelph is 8 pm at the JD McArthur Arena


Following the defeat at Elora last night, the NorthStars executive made a massive coaching change, replacing the existing structure of 3 coaches with 4 new coaches.

Head coach Rodney Tapp along with assistants Willi Arnold & Chris Barfoot were informed last night they were being removed from their position.

Furthermore, Assistant General Manager Andy Barfoot has also departed from his role with the club.

Beginning tonight, last year's Head Coach Shawn Kazarian will return behind the bench along with Mark Kazarian, Rob Daigneau ( Dagg-new ) and General Manager Brad Bowers


Elsewhere in Junior B Lacrosse tonight, Hamilton is at Niagara



Bluewater Fastball League

Tara Merchants at Wiarton Nationals    8:30 at Bluewater Park

Mildmay Mets at Chepstow Aces   8:30


The game last night at Port Elgin between the Blue Devils & the Wiarton Red Devils was cancelled due to poor weather and power outages in Saugeen Shores

The Red Devils will compete this weekend at the Waterloo Midget Invitational

Wiarton will also host the O.A.S.A. Midget Championship Tournament next month at Bluewater Park.

Grieve To Coach Winterhawks

The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks have announced that Jim Grieve has accepted the position of head coach of the WOAA Senior Hockey Club.

Grieve, an assistant coach with the Winterhawks, will be taking over from Don Matheson and Barry Hall who stepped down at the end of the season,

The Winterhawks have won the WOAA Championship twice in the last 4 years.

The St. Mary's High School Grade 12 Gym class will be staging the 2nd Annual Mustang Stampede Duatholon tomorrow from 12:30-3 pm. 

The event consists of a 5 km run, 15 km bike route, and another 4 km of running.

The course begins and finishes at Bayview Park-

Members of the public are welcome to come and cheer on the athletes.
