The Boston Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks for the second consecutive game last night, 4-nothing, tying the Stanley Cup Final at two games apiece. The Bruins and Canucks head back to Vancouver for Game 5 Friday night at Rogers Arena followed by a return trip to Beantown for Game 6 on Monday.
The N-B-A finals resume tonight in Dallas with the Mavericks hosting Miami for Game 5. The series is tied at 2 games apiece with the last three games being decided by a margin of only 3 points or less.
In Major League Baseball, Adam Lind smacked his 4th home run since coming off the disabled list last weekend. This one, a grand slam, helped Toronto beat Kansas City 9-8. Carlos Villanueva allowed just 4 runs over 7 innings to get the win.
Elsewhere, the Boston Red Sox now hold first place in the A-L East after defeating the Yankees 11-6. Boston has beaten the Bronx Bombers 7 out of 8 times this season.
And, from the C-F-L, veteran quarterback Kerry Joseph is getting another chance in the league signing with the Edmonton Eskimos. Joseph will likely serve as the backup for Ricky Ray. Joseph was the league’s most outstanding player in 2007 leading the Saskatchewan Roughriders to the Grey Cup.
