A find during the environmental assessment taking place in Inverhuron is going to slow down a nine million dollar project.
The chair of the Kincardine Building and Planning committee, Councillor Maureen Couture says some artifacts have been uncovered in an area where the municipality hopes to extend water and sewer services.
Couture says it's not a major find, but it's enough to send the archaeological study into a second phase which will be far more invasive than the first study.
The findings of the second phase will dictate whether or not a third study will be required.
Couture says she doesn't know what was found.
The nine-million dollar water and sewer extension in Inverhuron is part of a Building Canada Fund grant.
Another public meeting on the project is scheduled for this July while a presentation back to council will likely happen this Fall.
