Ellis Wins Award

The Ontario Hockey League named Windsor captain Ryan Ellis the Red Tilson Trophy winner.

Ellis, who had 100 points for the Spitfires this year, is just the 4th defenceman in the history of the Tilson award to be chosen as the League's Most Outstanding Player

A draft pick of the Nashville Predators, Ellis has played 3 times for Canada's National Junior Team,

He was the top choice in voting by 75 members of the OHL media.

The Grey Highlands Lions swept the Saugeen District Royals

The Senior Lions won 26-13 while the Junior Lions beat the Royals 25-3.

Hillary Lubimiv of the Royals set a new school record in the Senior Girls javelin.

Huronia Region Development Meet

at Orangeville

Nicole Lefebvre of the Owen Sound Aquatic Club finished first in the 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke, and the 400m individual medley.

Noah Patrick of the Owen Sound Aquatic Club was first in the 100m freestyle and second in the 200m freestyle.
