Owen Sound Bluewater ProTeam NorthStars at Orangeville Northmen   

Season Opener for Owen Sound

Orangeville is 1 & 1 after winning 9-7 yesterday against the Spartans at St Catharines

Game time tonight is 8 pm

Thursday, the NorthStars, who play their first 5 games on the road, are at Guelph


Petgrave Named Player of the Week

The Ontario Hockey League announced that Owen Sound Attack defenceman Matt Petgrave is the OHL Player of the Week

Petgrave scored a hat trick in Game 5 of the OHL Western Conference Final as the Attack eliminated Windsor with a 10-4 victory.

The Attack will meet the St Mike's Majors for the Robertson Cup beginning tomorrow night at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga.

Mustang Invitational Track & Field Meet

at the University of Western Ontario in London.

Alex Morrow of the Saugeen District Royals won the Midget Girls 80 metre Hurdles, 300 metre hurdles and the Long Jump

Morrow established a new school record in the 300 metre hurdles at 47.52 seconds.

Kelly Gribbons, Hillary Lubimiv & Stephen Pilar of Saugeen District also had first place finishes at the meet.

Gribbons also established a new school record in the Junior Girls Discus at 34.42 metres.



31st Annual Georgian Triangle Spring Trout Derby

Competition continues today
