Kassian Suspended 4 Games

Regional | by Fred Wallace

OHL hands down four game suspension against Windsor's Zack Kassian.

The Ontario Hockey league has handed a four game suspension to Windsor Spitfires forward Zack Kassian

Kassian received the suspension for an incident late in Game 3 of the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference Championship Series against the Owen Sound Attack.

As the Attack scored the game clinching goal into an empty net, Kassian slashed Attack defender Jesse Blacker and then cross checked Blacker as he lay prone on the ice.

Kassian was not in the lineup last night as the Attack took Game 4 of the series with a 3-2 win at Windsor

Game 5 is Wednesday night at 7 PM at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Center.

Kassian would be eligible to return to the Spitfires lineup if they win their next three games against Owen Sound and advance to the OHL Championship Final.
